Salcombe Yawl

The following sails are our current recommended range. Older models not listed below are still available upon request.

Mainsail (SMY-3)

This is our all purpose bi radial mainsail design, it has a radial clew and head sections to allow the shape to be carefully positioned and the loads to be spread more evenly in these areas of the sail. The sail is manufactured from Dacron 208 sq HTP+ and comes complete with class insignia, numbers, battens, tell tails, window and sail bag.

Mizzen (M-i2)

The mizzen on the Yawl is designed almost board flat! It is done so in an effort to reduce drag upwind, as the sail generates little or no lift in the upwind mode. It does however offer extra sail area downwind and so design is still of up-most importance. Head area is maximised further within the rules by careful leech curve and head patch design. It is a cross cut sail manufactured from Dacron 5.46 Polykote.
