Brian Keane of Marion Mass dominated the J/70 class at this years 2013 Bacardi Cup, never finishing out of the top three and winning overall by a 19 point margin. Nine races were run over three days in conditions ranging from 3 to 16 knots on beautiful Biscayne Bay. Brian and his team of Max Skelley, Eric Doyle, and Mike Danish showed superior speed and tactics in a variety of conditions to top the competitive 20 boat fleet. This was Brian's second second J70 event with the first being Key West Race Week where he finished a close second to past J24 World Champion Tim Healy.
The team of Peter Duncan, Judd Smith, Thomas Blackwell and Winn Ziacyk were second, winning a tie breaker over Will Wells,Tim Healy and John Macabe.
Seven out of the nine races were won with North Sails and now all four first east coast events have been dominated by North.
Charleston Race Week will be the classes next event with 40 plus boats expected.
