North Sails have been developing Championship winning Finn sails since the introduction of laminate sails back in 1996. Our team have spent hundreds of hours developing shapes to produce a range of designs that covers the whole wind spectrum for all sailors. Mainsail (M-1 Range) 2010 Gold Cup Champion!

The M-1 Range of Mainsails has been developed to suit sailors in excess of 92 kilos. Originally developed with Ben Ainslie for the 2008 Games, the M-1 mould has proven to be an excellent all round performer and is available in three types of fabrics to cover all conditions.

Mainsail (B-3 Range)

The B-3 Range of Mainsails has been developed to suit sailors upto 98 kilos. Originally developed with double European Champion Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic, it is designed ½% flatter than the M-1 mould and has proven to be an excellent all round performer for the lighter Finn sailor. It is available in three types of fabrics to cover all conditions.

Mainsail (S-1)

The S-1 Mainsail is a light /medium sail for the heavier Finn sailor. It is designed ½% deeper than the M-1 to give maximum power. It comes standard in Contenders ATX 1mil Kevlar laminate, however can be made from any material upon request.

Mainsail (M-05)

The M-05 Mainsail is our light airs sail designed for all sailors and is ideal between 0-8 knots. Developed with Ben Ainslie for the 2008 Games, this polyester sail has proven to be an excellent performer in the lighter conditions.
