It was a first time win for both Nathan Outteridge and North Sails, as he clinched the Zhik International Moth Nationals with a win in the last heat, in his first hit out in this class. Nathan used the v7MH design in the first major regatta for North Sails. This design has been developed by Chris Williams in conjunction with European Moth Champion and North Sails Suisse designer Arnaud Psarofaghis and two time Moth World Champion Rohan Veal.
Most people agree it was the most competitive moth regatta to date, with many of the top finishers in the World Champs finishing out of the top 5.
The design for the production sails are being currently finalized, and it is planned to offer three models based on sailor weight and rig stiffness, which will be available through North Sails Australia.
