CUSTOM PERFORMANCE SAILS FOR BENETEAU BOATS

Beneteau Yachts Sails by North Sails

Beneteau is one of the largest sailboat builders in the world, and the Oceanis cruising range and the First performance line cover very different needs. Models such as the Oceanis 40.1, 46.1 and 51.1, and the First 36 and 40.7, are sailed everywhere from quiet coastal weekends to club start lines and charter fleets. With so many boats built over the years, rigs, mast sections and hardware vary between production runs, even within the same model.

North Sails builds Beneteau sails for all of it. Cruising and charter boats need durable mainsails, in-mast furling mains and furling genoas that handle easily and take daily use, while First owners racing at the club get NPL laminate or 3Di shapes that hold up under load, along with asymmetric spinnakers and code zeros for downwind and reaching legs.

Each sail is built to your exact Beneteau model and rig, including older boats no longer in production, so it fits properly rather than approximately and sets cleanly from the first hoist. Your local loft can confirm the measurements before production begins and service, repair or recut the sails afterwards, keeping them performing for years.

BENETEAU FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A:

There is no fixed price, because it depends on the sails you need and the cloth you choose. A replacement furling genoa for an Oceanis 34 costs far less than a racing inventory for a First 40.7. Send your model and sailing goals and request a quote.

A:

Yes, and they are built differently. An Oceanis inventory prioritises durability and easy handling for cruising, while a First inventory is built for shape retention under racing loads. Tell us which model you own and how you use it when you request a quote.

A:

Yes. In-mast furling is common across the Oceanis range and we build mains designed to furl cleanly and still set well when deployed. Cloth weight, luff finish and roach are matched to your mast and furling system, so tell us which you have. See the range on our mainsails page.

A:

Club racing rewards sails that hold their shape as the breeze builds, so a laminate or 3Di mainsail and jib is usually the right starting point, with an asymmetric spinnaker or code zero for downwind and reaching legs. Your local loft can advise on what suits your rating.

A:

Yes. Older Oceanis and First models are among the boats we build for most often, and being out of production is no problem. We build to your exact model and rig, and your local loft can verify measurements where original records are limited.
