KITEBOARDING IN ALAMEDA
A short hop across the water from San Francisco in the East Bay area, accessible by car or ferry, is Crown Beach Alameda. This spot, with its warm, shallow waters and gentle onshore or cross-shore winds, is ideal for learning or improving your kiteboarding and foil skills. Boardsports California offers private or group lessons for all abilities from their base, right on the beachfront, and rental kit is available for experienced kiters.

From here, you can join a Sunset Sail aboard a classic schooner, taking in Alcatraz, Angel Island, and the city skyline.
