Kei has been a member of the North Sails team since 1996, working in sales and in sail design development at the loft in Yokohama, Japan. In addition to giving him the opportunity to work with top sailors and coaches, he finds sail development and discovering what makes boats go fast just plain fun.

He is proud to have been involved with 470 Class programs that brought home seven gold medals in the time he has been with North Sails. Kei is active in the J/24 class in his home waters, and when not sailing, enjoys diving.

If given the chance to offer words of wisdom to young sailors, he would tell them, „Keep learning with an open mind. Success in sailing always comes from hard work, knowledge, and passion for winning.”
