Sandy has been sailing as long as he’s been walking and has had great success in numerous dinghies and keelboats. His favorite class is the 505, which has taken him all over the world competing in many world championships.

Sandy is also quite passionate about passing on his skills to the next generation of sailors, taking on the state coach role for many years in the Optimists and 420 classes. When able,  he’s more than willing to jump onboard larger boats and help owners and crew get the most out of their keelboat sailing experience.

Sandy’s the Managing director of Binks Marine, an Adelaide iconic marine store that also specializes in chandlery, rigging, boat building, and a North Sails service loft.
