Allan has been with North Sails since 2007 and serves as North American One Design Manager. Allan Terhune, Jr., has won 14 National and Continental Titles (in the Lightning, Flying Scot, MC Scow and Thistle Classes) and was crowned the 2013 J/22 World Champion, In 2022, he served as tactician on the J/24 World and US National Champion team. Allan is also a 2 time ILYA MC Scow Champion as well as a ILYA and ECESA Champion E Scow crew member. Allan is also a class expert in the Etchells, J/70, J/80, J/88, J/105, J/111 and ORC with many podium finishes in each class (except J/105 which is an amateur class). Allan is a resident of Annapolis, MD and graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy. In 2007, Terhune was awarded US Sailing’s One Design Leadership Award and named Rolex Yachtsman of the Year Finalist in 2008 and 2013.
