Bob Meagher

Bob Meagher has built a career helping people enjoy their boats. Over two decades of sail consulting have led him to become one of America’s most experienced sail experts, especially in the growing market of cruising multihulls. He has led scores of sail replacement programs for cruising catamarans, including the 80′ Morelli-Melvin designed Fat Cat, Privilege 65 True North, and served as project manager for the sail reconditioning of the 105′ Lady Barbaretta. Most recently he led the sail team for the first McConaghy 60 in the U.S., Noble House, blending high performance with long-term durability.His experience with sailcloth and sail handling systems across the widest variety of boats provide captains and project managers with a clear understanding of the sail options available to these unique boats to ensure sails meet owners’ needs for years to come.

Bob spent his youth racing one-design keelboat classes. A former Tufts University All-American, Bob gives back to the sport with active roles in race management as an event organizer and U.S. Sailing National Judge, from cutting edge events like the Red Bull Foiling Generation Global Championship, venerable favorites like the Lauderdale to Key West Race, and Opti regattas around the country.

His twenty years of business experience with fellow sailmakers around the country gives Bob deep understanding of the sailing industry in the Southeast U.S. where he serves as North’s Regional Manager, and the industry trends shaping sailing throughout North America.
