Kent has worked at North Sails lofts around the globe since 1978. In order to coordinate and standardize sail construction between lofts, Kent began what grew into the company standard “Blue Book.” Along the way he worked for several America’s Cup campaigns and set up sail lofts for the Whitbread/VOR. After helping to start North Sails Sri Lanka, Kent now runs North Sails Picton. He races several times a week on a local sport boat, though he has not yet to tried cruising the sparkling clean waters of the Marlborough Sounds.
