Matt started sailing at the age of  four with his grandfather on a J/24 and Sabot at Teralba.

By the end of his school years, he started sailing on Lasers and yachts at LMYC. Matt has competed in Hamilton Island Race Week, Geelong Race Week and numerous Sydney to Southport and Pittwater to Coffs races.

• 2010 he started working at East Coast Marine & Sail – Apprentice Sailmaker and has gone on to compete in many regattas all over Australia.
• 2012 Competed in Etchells Nationals and Worlds
• 2013/2014 Came runner up at Cherub National titles in Perth
• 2015 to date – he skipper’s in the 16ft Skiff.
• 2017/2018 put brand new 16ft skiff EAST COAST MARINE & SAIL on the water with Full North Sails Inventory and came 3rd in State Titles
