More than five decades of sailing and 100,000 sea miles give Peter Grimm the ability to help clients get the most out of their boats and sails. His long familiarity with owners, boat builders, spar builders, yacht designers, project managers, and captains of all experience levels allow him to educate clients not just about sails, but about all of the components needed to improve their performance and enjoyment. His highly personalized, hands-on approach can help both racers and cruisers enjoy their boats, whether they’re sailing around the bay or around the world.

Peter’s victory list includes the St. Barths Bucket, Loro Piana Regatta, Palma Superyacht Cup, and the Perini Cup, as well as races to Montego Bay, Key West, Bermuda, and Mackinac. His career has coincided with the ever-growing superyacht market, from the largest 80 footers in the 1980s to the 200 footers in the 2000s. An expert in fabric analysis, he sea-trialed the first Spectra sails alongside Ted Hood and remains one of the world’s experts in the application of Vectran, Carbon, and other fibers in sailmaking. Decades of experience with designs by Frers, Holland, Sparkman & Stevens, and projects from Perini, Huisman, and Alloy, lead many of the world’s foremost brokers and builders to seek out Peter’s advice. He is a regular fixture in Superyacht yards and the marinas of South Florida, or wherever these unique vessels gather.
