Ron LaNeve has more than 40 years of on-the-water experience. He has worked in sailmaking since 1987 and joined the North Sails team in 1995. Ron  grew up on the Jersey Shore, sailing on Barnegat Bay. He has extensive racing and cruising experience and has participated in events on a local, regional and international level.  

Ron’s current focus is primarily on PHRF classes and various sprit boat classes. He also spends a substantial amount of time coaching and teaching seminars and clinics. He has served as the technical advisor on the Mid-Atlantic PHRF Committee for more than 20 years.

Whether racing or cruising he works to help make his clients’ boat and crew perform to their full potential. None of his own achievements mean as much to him as watching his customers improve on the racecourse or get more comfortable cruising.

Outside of sailing and coaching, Ron enjoys cycling and skiing. In the summer you’ll find him at the beach or boating on the St. Lawrence River in the Thousand Islands.
