North Sails is the sailmaker of choice on the majority of America’s Cup, Grand Prix, ocean race boats and Superyachts.

North Sails looking to fill the role of Shipping and Purchasing at our Auckland, New Zealand loft. The incumbent will be responsible for  import and export clearances including booking in local and international freight. Ordering stock, creating purchase orders and receiving said physical stock and receipting it in Dynamics 365.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining stock levels and ordering stock as required
• Receiving/unpacking/distributing inbound shipments
• Packing/shipping National and International freight
• Working with our Freight Forwarder for exports
• Arranging clearance of imported items. Temporary and Normal imports with NZ Customs.
• Checking items off in our internal computer systems (FileMaker/D365 and Google Drive) when they have arrived and when they are shipped. 
• Allocate costings to departments to help the accounts team
• Drop off and collections of some stock and finished items

Qualification Requirements

• Valid Full NZ driver’s licence
• Competent, efficient use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics
• Ability to learn new concepts and procedures quickly and efficiently
• Excellent time management skills with an ability to multitask and prioritise workload
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and people skills
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Proficiency in English (written and oral)
• A good phone mannerism
• Applicants with valid New Zealand Work Visa will also be considered
• Fit and strong as you will often be moving heavy items
