Neil has served in almost every capacity available in our UK loft since coming aboard as a teen in 1982: sailmaker, loft floor manager, service manager, sales manager, director and now, again, sales. It’s safe to say that he knows the industry inside and out! His early years in sailmaking had him working with some of the best known names in yachting, including Lowell North and Tom Schnackenberg, and he has multiple Admiral’s Cup and Swan Cup wins, as well as several Fastnet Races under his belt. He likes the fact that each day brings something new, and feels fortunate that he’s been able to turn his hobby into his career. To others wanting to break into the professional sailing area, he offers, «If a job’s worth doing then do the job properly, dig in, and learn all you can.»
