Andrea joined the North Sails team in Genoa Italy in 2013, taking advantage of the opportunity to work for (his words) “the best sailmaking company in the world.”

Andrea appreciates that no two sailmaking workdays are alike. And even on days that he does the “usual” things, at the end of the day he realizse that he’s learned something, which he enjoys.

Personal sailing highlights include winning the 2013 ORC Worlds, where he was in charge of  a TP52 sail program. He says it “wasn’t an easy task… big effort, lots of sails, lots of changes.” All worth it, however.

His advice to young sailors aspiring to a career in the sport: “Sailing is a pretty complicated pastime, with lots of variables. My advice: Keep it simple. »
