Perry grew up family cruising in Chicago and around the Great Lakes. After graduating from the University of Chicago with a Math degree, he spent three years working on race boats before starting at North Sails in Pewaukee, WI. He moved to Chicago in 1993 and has operated out of the same location ever since.

Perry’s race trophies include a dozen national/North American championships and another dozen overall Mackinac race wins. He is equally proud of an office wall full of company “Outstanding Sales Awards.” For off-season fun, he pretends to be a cross-country ski marathon racer.
