WINGS & WAVES RETURNS WITH A SECOND SERIES
Four celebrity creators take on kiteboarding for the first time in Portugal.
Finite Films & TV, in partnership with North Sails, is set to launch Wings & Waves 2. Following the success of the first series in 2025, the high-energy sports competition returns to the North Sails YouTube channel on October 1 with a new cast of celebrity creators.
Based at Club North FeelViana on Portugal’s breathtaking coastline, four celebrity creators are thrown into the deep end of one of the most demanding action sports: kiteboarding. With zero kiteboarding experience, they travel to Portugal to train under the guidance of two elite professional kite athletes, pushing themselves far beyond their comfort zones. As their skills develop, the creators go head-to-head in a series of competitive challenges designed to test courage, progression, and endurance.
The celebrity contestants taking part in the second series are: star of Made in Chelsea and activist, Jazz Saunders; TV Presenter and host of CEOs Go Wild and Adventure Therapy Specialist, Tinuke Oyediran; Love is Blind UK star Kieran Darby, and breakdancer and content creator, Van Martarello. They are coached by athletes from North Kiteboarding and Red Bull ‘Kings of the Air’, Francesca Maini and Cohan Van Dijk.

The winner of the competition will receive the opportunity to become the face of North Sails’ Actionsports’ YouTube coverage: King of the Air, along with a £5,000 cash prize.
Wings & Waves 2 showcases the breadth of the North Sails brand, bringing together Actionsports, Apparel, and the wider North Sails community through a shared passion for performance, adventure, and life on the water. By connecting athletes, creators, and audiences through authentic storytelling, the series highlights the experiences and values that unite the North community.
The new series also reflects the long-term collaboration between North Sails and Finite Films & TV, with a shared commitment to create authentic content that entertains, inspires, and builds community. The series was driven by growing interest in mental wellbeing, adventure, sustainability, connection to nature, and participation in emerging sports.

North Sails and Finite Films & TV also collaborated on the YouTube docuseries Challengers, which follows GB1, the British entry in the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup. Force of Nature, another successful collaboration, was commissioned by Channel 4 in the UK for their Sport YouTube channel.
