SAILS FOR YOUR ARCONA

CUSTOM PERFORMANCE SAILS FOR ARCONA BOATS

Arcona Yachts Sails by North Sails

Speed is central to the Arcona name. The Swedish yard has built its reputation on performance cruisers that are quick on the helm yet comfortable enough for a weekend away. Owners of the Arcona 340, Arcona 380, Arcona 415, Arcona 435, and Arcona 460 tend to care as much about how their boat sails as where it takes them. On a hull this responsive, the sails make the difference between competent and genuinely fast.

North Sails brings its racing pedigree to every Arcona inventory. Each Arcona mainsail, Arcona headsail, genoa, jib, and Arcona spinnaker is designed for your specific rig, with higher-performance options such as 3Di and Helix Code sails available when you want to push harder. The same inventory will cruise comfortably and still hold its own on the start line.

Cut to your exact measurements, your Arcona sails reward you with sharper handling, better pointing, and a shape that lasts season after season. Able to be servcies at your local loft, they are built to keep a quick boat performing at its best, whether you are racing, cruising, or simply enjoying a fast, clean passage.

ARCONA FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A:

There is no fixed price, because every sail is built to your exact Arcona specification, from the sail type to the cloth you choose. An Arcona mainsail for an Arcona 340 sits at a very different level from a full inventory for an Arcona 465. Whether you want to buy Arcona sails as a one-off replacement or order new Arcona sails for the whole boat, request an Arcona sail quote with your model and how you sail, and a North Sails expert will come back to you.

A:

We build to the known specifications of your specific Arcona, from the 340 through to the 465, so the sail is shaped for your rig from the first hoist. If anything needs confirming, your local loft can take or check the measurements before the sail goes into production. Share your model when you request a quote and we will match the design to your boat.

A:

On an Arcona, yes, and it is a common request. A well-designed laminate main and a furling genoa will cruise happily and still hold their shape when you line up on a Sunday. If you race more seriously we can add a lighter headsail or an asymmetric, but most owners are well served by one versatile inventory that does both jobs without compromise.

A:

For an owner who wants both, 3Di is usually the sweet spot as it holds a fast shape far longer than woven cloth and stands up to regular use. A good cruising laminate sits a step below it for less money, while Dacron remains the value choice for relaxed sailing. Our sail material guide compares them side by side, or ask your local loft what suits your mileage.

A:

Yes. Alongside the standard inventory we build self-tacking jibs for easy short-handed sailing and Code sails for quick, close reaching, both tailored to your Arcona's rig and sail plan. They are a popular way to widen the boat's range without adding complexity. Tell us how you sail when you request a quote and we will suggest the right additions.
