CUSTOM PERFORMANCE SAILS FOR BALTIC BOATS

Baltic Yachts Sails by North Sails

Baltic Yachts builds advanced carbon composite yachts in Finland, from models such as the Baltic 52 and 67 up to the largest custom projects including the Baltic 108, 130 and 146. These are light, powerful boats where rig loads are high, displacement is low and the sails have a bigger influence on how the yacht behaves than they do on a heavier design.

North Sails builds Baltic sails to match that. Fast cruising asks for sails a small crew can handle, long passages reward shape that survives constant use, and superyacht regattas demand stability under full load. We build mainsails, headsails, staysails, code sails and full downwind inventories, with 3Di available where shape retention matters most. Sail handling and reefing systems are considered alongside the sails themselves.

Each sail is engineered to the exact specification of your Baltic and its rig rather than a class average, so the whole plan works together and the yacht stays balanced through the range. Our team can work from rig drawings and confirm dimensions on board before production, and our global service network can inspect, repair and recut the sails wherever the boat is sailing.

Sails for a yacht like this are a significant investment and the figure depends on the size of the rig, the inventory you need and the construction you choose. We provide a clear, itemized quote once we know the yacht and your plans. request a quote to get started.

Carbon rigs put high, concentrated loads into the sails, so shape stability matters more than raw cloth strength. 3Di is built as a single moulded structure rather than panels, which is why it holds its designed shape under load. Our 3Di technology page explains the construction.

A:

Yes. We have a dedicated superyacht team for yachts of this size, covering design, build and handover. Sail handling systems, furling and reefing are all considered alongside the sails themselves so the plan works for the crew you sail with.

A:

Our lofts operate worldwide, so sails can be inspected, repaired or recut wherever the yacht is based. Find your nearest loft to arrange it, and plan an inspection before any long passage rather than after.

We build to the specification of your specific yacht and rig, not a class average. For custom and semi-custom builds our team can work from rig drawings and confirm dimensions on the boat before anything goes into production.
