Una flota de 102 barcos participó en la salida desde la bahía de Sídney, una tradición navideña que se celebra ininterrumpidamente cada 26 de diciembre desde 1945. La victoria absoluta correspondió a otro cliente North Sails: el TP52 Ichi Ban de Matt Allen.
