To me, buying sails - and especially buying sails for an early hull number boat where there is bound to be lots of experimentation and trial and error - is as much about the people as it is about the brand. With North Sails I knew I would be getting the quality and innovation of the brand. After spending some time on the water with the people from the Charleston loft, it was clear they were committed to figuring out how to optimize my boat (rather than just selling me a sail).
