How long have you been sailing and what classes do you compete in?
I started sailing when I was eight years old on Lake Eppalock, just north of Melbourne. I learnt in an Optimist and then progressed into a Sabre and then onto a 125.What boats/classes do you sail?
Recently, my focus has turned to keelboats! I’ve been sailing X-Yachts, J24’s and also spent some time on a Summit 35.What got you into the marine industry?
I was encouraged to take on instructing the juniors at my yacht club when I was 12, and I loved it! My passion for sailing grew and I was hungry for knowledge, so a friend suggested I look into being a sail maker. I was instantly welcomed into the marine industry by the North Sails Melbourne loft. What’s your favourite thing about sailing?
The freedom - it’s that sense of just you and the boat using the wind, it’s what I love about sailing. And everyone is so welcoming and the community is rich with knowledge, passion and great people. What are you most looking forward to with joining North Sails?
I feel very privileged to be with North Sails in Melbourne, in an environment with such experienced people and I hope to improve my sailing with the skills they can pass on.
