The SoftShell+™ uses a bespoke, three-layer laminate. Constructed from a flat, knitted outer face with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish next to a breathable, waterproof membrane while the inner face is a patterned microfleece designed to reduce weight and water absorption whilst increasing loft and air entrapment for extra warmth. The result is a lightweight, showerproof, breathable and very comfortable garment – it’s SoftShell+™. Recyclable at end of life.

Résistant à l'eau

Le terme "résistant à l'eau" décrit la capacité du tissu à offrir une protection par temps humide. Un tissu résistant à l'eau utilise un revêtement DWR ou un tissage dense pour empêcher la saturation de la couche extérieure du vêtement. Les tissus résistants à l'eau évacuent ou repoussent l'eau, mais ils ne sont pas entièrement imperméables.

Respirabilité

Les vêtements respirants sont perméables à l'air. Cet avantage est particulièrement utile pendant l'activité physique, lorsqu'il y a une augmentation de la chaleur corporelle à l'intérieur du vêtement. La respirabilité du tissu permet le transfert de vapeur d'eau (MVT) ou la capacité à se réchauffer.

Résistance au vent

Le vêtement est fabriqué dans une matière imperméable au vent et aide à prévenir la perte de chaleur en maintenant la chaleur du corps à l'intérieur du vêtement.

Softshell Plus

Le SoftShell+ de North Sails est conçu à partir d’un laminé à trois couches. Il se compose tout d’abord d’une face tricotée avec finition DWR. La couche suivante est une membrane rendant le vêtement respirant et imperméable, tandis que la face intérieure est constituée d’une micro polaire à motifs conçue pour réduire le poids et l’absorption d’eau, tout en augmentant la densité et l’emprisonnement de l’air pour plus de chaleur. Le SoftShell+ est léger, doux au toucher et confortable à porter
